Wind Chime Video | Sonoran Desert

Wind chimes can be simple or wind chimes can be complex in their construction. Regardless of the material make up of a wind chime, each has it own distinctive sound and personality. This particular wind chime, purchased from a street vendor in Mexico, and photographed near the Mexican/American border, is no exception. The materials used in the construction of this wind chime aren’t all that exotic but the sound is still enchanting and unique. As would be expected from clay or ceramic construction, the sound is earthy, which matches its personality perfectly. The strings appear to be of a durable nylon with a sturdy hanger cord of what appears to be a loose hemp, neatly tied noose-like at either end.
